SEDIMENT TRANSPORT MOVIES

Below are links to download most of the movies that have been freely distributed on our CD "Sediment Video Movies." Although this site now has many more movies than were available on the CD, I still have copies of the CD that is freely distributed for teaching purposes. Otherwise the videos are downloadable (via http download) by clicking next to the thumbnails below. Note that these are all in QuickTime format. The QuickTime player can be freely downloaded from Apple for both Macintosh and PC-based systems.

The videos will run best if they are first loaded onto your computer's hard disk. Text to accompany the videos can be downloaded as a PDF file by clicking the appropriate link. Most, but not all, videos play at 15 fps or higher, 100 kb/sec or faster, and are around 360x240 pixels in size. NOTE: most movies are large files that will take a while to download! Modem connections will result in very long download times!

After some complaints about downloading on Windows machines, I have added a button - "Download"- that will directly download the entire Quicktime file to your machine. These then can be opened with Quicktime, not through your browser. Note: clicking Download will dump the entire file (i.e. many megabytes) with no warning.

Lastly, if you have movies that are appropriate that you are willing to donate to the site, please drop me an email (heller@uwyo.edu). We can quickly determine if the movie will fit in the theme and space limitations of this site.
